Re: *SPOILER* All I have to say about tonight's show is:
Thu, May 8, 2008 - 8:25 PMYou don't think he just threw in the towel? Seems he didn't have a chance in hell to win after trying to get in alliance with everyone left. They were doing a good acting job at tribal council. I really don't know who I want to win, don't like who is really left-maybe Cirie. -
-
Re: *SPOILER* All I have to say about tonight's show is:
Thu, May 8, 2008 - 8:32 PMNo, I do NOT think he threw in the towel, he fell for their manipulation and scheming, hook - line-and-sinker!
My husband was calling them bitches, but I say they were SMART and he was just stupid. They planned out exactly what to say and who was going to say it, and exactly how to behave in tribal council, and then they followed their plan to a T. And he was dumb enough to play into it!
He's a cute kid, but he showed that he didn't deserve the million. Ice cream "man" indeed ;)
I want Cerie to win, but I fear that Amanda and Parv will be the final 2 unless Natalie wins immunity.

Re: *SPOILER* All I have to say about tonight's show is:
Thu, May 8, 2008 - 8:36 PMPoor Eric. He got so confused. It was funny that he sat there with his fingers crossed. I felt kinda bad for him. Everyone knew what a stupid ass he was but him. Awwww........
I don't think he threw in the towel. Hell no.
SO FUNNY that he was saying he works at an ice cream shop and doesn't need to make these sort of tough decisions. Time to go from ice cream "boy" to ice cream "man". At least he's got some personality!!
I can't wait to see the ladies go at it with each other. Bye bye Natalie is what I think. And then.........hmmmmmm, dunno! Is it THIS Sunday that it's on? -

Re: *SPOILER* All I have to say about tonight's show is:
Thu, May 8, 2008 - 9:11 PM... wow - I never thought I'd actually see a poor guy get THAT twisted around by those gals.
Just so young... so stupid...
I originally thought Jeff was talking about either Ozzie or Jason's non-play of the Hidden Immunity Idol as the "even stupider than James' move last season" thing... but nope - guess this was it.
OMG - I'd be ashamed to show my face at the reunion show after getting played like that.
... heck, I'm ashamed to have the same name as that poor schlub.

Re: *SPOILER* All I have to say about tonight's show is:
Thu, May 8, 2008 - 9:28 PMThat was perhaps the best outwitting I have ever seen on Survivor. It was incredible to watch. Even Natalie didn't think it could be done when Cerie presented the idea to her. Cerie is a genius. They all were incredible in carrying out the plan. Cerie really deserves to win more than ever, now. But Amanda is still my favorite and I'd really like her to win.
How many of you knew any of those answers in the reward challenge? I've watched every season but they all sort of blur together now. I couldn't remember which season hardly any of those things happened, although I remembered many of those things had happened. The only one I got right was Survivor Outback when someone had fallen in the fire and had to be evacuated. I could remember clearly the Survivor when 4 teams started out instead of 2, but I couldn't remember which location it was in, for instance. Would you all have been able to answer those? You have to hand it to Erik for getting so many right. He is a true fan, and with a good memory. Too bad for him he is so gullible. But the women were brilliant in their strategy. And he's a good sport, too, he was laughing at himself, not angry with the women, it seemed, in the closing comments. -

Re: *SPOILER* All I have to say about tonight's show is:
Fri, May 9, 2008 - 5:28 AMThis is where you really know the game is not a physical contest! Poor Eric was such a scmuck! I can't wait to see what happens at Ponderosa! I want Cerie to go all the way now. -
-
Re: *SPOILER* All I have to say about tonight's show is:
Fri, May 9, 2008 - 7:30 AMCerie deserves the win for masterminding that plan!
Wow!!!! is all I can say right now. -
-
Re: *SPOILER* All I have to say about tonight's show is:
Fri, May 9, 2008 - 8:48 AMWOWSAS WOWSAS WOWSAS! When Natalie said she felt stupid just hearing the plan, I was laughing. How in the world could you fall for that? It seemed inconceivable. But Cerie, mastermind, developed it beautifully and the rest executed it perfectly. Nonetheless, how could you fall for that plan?
What is most stupid imo is Erik allowed himself to be convinced he didn't stand a shot with the jury. I disagree. If he makes it as the lone fan and lone male to the final tribal, he has a tailor made argument of how he bucked the odds. Sure, he lied a little bit, but when you are clearly isolated by both your gender and designation (fan) like he is, you do what you need to to get by and ultimately he made it here. I am pretty sure Chris from Vanautu won based on some similar reasoning. I think some of the jury members would've voted for Erik: maybe Jason, maybe Alexis, maybe Natalie, maybe even Oz who adopted him.
I kinda felt bad for him too, but he got outwitted hard. Loved hearing James proclaim he was no longer the dumbest player in Survivor history. And to whomever said they felt embarassed by their gender and maybe a woman should be running the country, welcome aboard. We woman have known this for a long time. :) -

Re: *SPOILER* All I have to say about tonight's show is:
Fri, May 9, 2008 - 8:58 AMI have to agree. I believe that Cerie should take it all. She has outwitted all of them. Based solely on game play, she is clearly the winner. She really knows how to work people. If Fake Booby Skeletor Chickie doesn't see that she's next, she's a fool.
I have to say, this is the liveliest jury yet. Eliza's expressions alone are worth it, and he way they all exploded in laughter when Erik gave Natalie the necklace? Priceless...

Re: *SPOILER* All I have to say about tonight's show is:
Fri, May 9, 2008 - 9:21 AMwhat I still dont understand is why anyone would want to go up against Amanda in the final 3. I think Cirie should have gotten Natalie and Eric on her side to go to the end.
Poor Eric, so young and naive, even after seeing what happened to Ozzy and Jason.
I think Eric would have had votes on the jury. Probably Eliza and Jason. Maybe Ozzy if Amanda wasnt there. Possibly James and Alexis. He was too awestruck by the famous and sexy Survivor Ladies. LOL. -

Re: *SPOILER* All I have to say about tonight's show is:
Fri, May 9, 2008 - 9:36 AMI just don't feel sorry for Erik at all. He puts these people up on pedistals like some twisted stalker! "I mean, here are my hero's and they're actually talking to me like I was a real person.." I'm paraphrasing, but that's pretty damn close to what he said in his closing statements! What a TOOL!!! Dude, they're not even CELEBRITIES!!! They're Survivor favorites WHO DIDN'T EVEN WIN!!! He was never going to win because of THAT attitude. I never thought it was cute, but more pathetic. They're human beings brotha....and it cost you in the end.
Cerie is an evil genius! Way to go girl! She has sooooo many oustings now to her credit it's not even funny. And, the real beauty is that no one even knows it was her that masterminded it. She's like BEN from Lost. She truly is one of THE BEST social players I've ever seen. She reminds me of my sister. Both not physically threatening but mentally they can manipulate and strategize with the best of em. As long as you have the mind frame that this is just a game, but a game for a million dollars, you can go FAR! Props to Cerie....
Amanda, here you go again. It looks like you could easily take this thing because you are "liked" by everyone, but you won't win because your poutty eyes and lack of closing arguments will be squashed by Cerie! This is where Cerie will shine....That is, assuming that Cerie and Amanda make it to the Finals.
Is it going to be 3 in the finals again this year? Or 2? -
-
Re: *SPOILER* All I have to say about tonight's show is:
Fri, May 9, 2008 - 9:50 AMWow. I'm scared of girls now. That was in-cred-i-ble. What did James say? Based on the ambiguous editing, I think Poverty might have found the HII. -
-
Re: *SPOILER* All I have to say about tonight's show is:
Fri, May 9, 2008 - 10:04 AMCerie can take it against anyone. Who can argue that she didn't play perhaps the best game in Survivor history! Sha can beat Amanda. She just has to get to the final vote. I hope they don't decide to take Booby-Skeletor so they can beat her. I'd hate to see her win anything! -
-
Re: *SPOILER* All I have to say about tonight's show is:
Fri, May 9, 2008 - 11:10 AMWell it's hard to say who would win with Nat in the mix .. If she was to fin the final immunity challenge and it is just a final 3 again this year she could win..
If that happens Cerie would have no choice but to vote for a tie.... If Amanda is dead set on taking Parv to the finals with her then Amanda's only choice would be to vote Cerie and Parv would also.. So in the end it would come down to who Nat would want to be in the finals with.. Vote with Parv and Amanda and risk going against them in the final 3 or vote with Cerie force a tie and hope it all goes well..
All depends on what the jury is thinking... Will they hold grudges or will they vote for someone who was smart enough to vote them out?

Re: *SPOILER* All I have to say about tonight's show is:
Fri, May 9, 2008 - 11:51 AMI'd be extremely shocked at this point if anyone but Amanda or Cerie wins. Something completely odd will have to happen. Obviously one of them will be in the final 3. We've got "I haven't screwed anyone over" Amanda who executed the excellent HII blindside and the "I am the mastermind of this entire game" Cerie. I don't see how either Parv or Nat can compete with that.
Clearly, Amanda and Cerie need to turn against each other right now. The one who can get it done should win the game. Cerie's problem...as Tim pointed out...Parv appears completely loyal to Amanda and I think if Parv knows she is gonna come in 2nd against someone, she'd rather it be Amanda than Cerie. Also, Amanda is more likely to win final immunity. Amanda's problem....Cerie is the mastermind...if anyone can pull off such a coup against her at this point, it would be Cerie.
I don't see anyway Nat wins. In addition to being a bitch who has lied to and backstabbed people on the jury, the jury is made up of primarily favorites (Oz, James, Eliza, and for Nat to be in final 3....one of Amanda, Parv or Cerie). Parv has alienated quite a few people as well. Interestingly, if you watch Erik's Ponderosa homecoming, Oz tells him that if it was Erik, Nat and Cerie in final 3, he would've vote for Erik. I was surprised he said Cerie and not Parv since Jason told Oz that Parv was the mastermind of his ouster. Of course, he might have since gotten more accurate information from his second girlfriend Alexis. James wouldn't have known since he wasn't in on it. -

Re: *SPOILER* All I have to say about tonight's show is:
Fri, May 9, 2008 - 7:10 PMWell according to the latest ads there are 3 tribal councils for the finale so it's going down to the final 2... -
-
Re: *SPOILER* All I have to say about tonight's show is:
Fri, May 9, 2008 - 7:21 PMReally....have any links for that? If its final 2, then Parv and Nat still have a shot only if they can prevent but A and C from making final 2, but the thing is, there would be an even number of people on the jury which would create a risk of a tie. Currently there are 6 peeps: Eliza, Oz, Jason, Alexis, James, Erik. To add 2 more and make it 8, well I don't understand why Survivor would risk a tie. -

This is the maximum depth. Additional responses will not be threaded.

Re: *SPOILER* All I have to say about tonight's show is:
Fri, May 9, 2008 - 9:23 PMI love watching all the stuff from Ponderosa. My question is: Where the hell are Jeff and all the behind the scenes people staying? Some of those challenges look like they take weeks to build. I would love to see some footage of those people. You know they are living phat and eating lots of amazing food and jet skiing and sleeping with each other. I picture it like a restaurant job or any other incestuous type job. You KNOW they were laughing their asses off at Eric. And how did Jeff keep a straight face?
My own personal food for thought. Had to share. -
-
Re: *SPOILER* All I have to say about tonight's show is:
Fri, May 9, 2008 - 11:45 PMDo you think Jeff knew about the women's plan to fool Erik when he was at tribal council? I would like to think the producers and camera operators would not let Jeff know about things leading up to any given tribal council. But I do wonder. Maybe he does know what's been going on in the days leading up to the vote at tribal council. Did he say anything at this tribal council that showed he was aware of the plan to trick Erik? -
-
Re: *SPOILER* All I have to say about tonight's show is:
Sat, May 10, 2008 - 7:02 AMHe has a tendency to ask some pretty leading questions at TC, so I'm thinking that Jeff knows what goes on back at camp. -

Re: *SPOILER* All I have to say about tonight's show is:
Sat, May 10, 2008 - 7:10 AMI'm sure Jeff gets clued in by the production crew. There is some video of Jeff showing the production headquarters. It looks like Ponderosa or even M*A*S*H*: makeshift buildings and lots of bare dirt. They didn't show any jet skis, but I'm sure they have fun, even though I bet the schedule's pretty tight. -

Re: *SPOILER* All I have to say about tonight's show is:
Sat, May 10, 2008 - 11:46 AMI read somewhere that the camera crew does feed him information so that he can ask leading questions. Also, a former contestant said that Tribal Council also goes on a lot longer (like an hour or two) than what you see televised so the pointless questions get edited out and the relevant ones stay in. -
-
Re: *SPOILER* All I have to say about tonight's show is:
Sat, May 10, 2008 - 6:21 PMA much longer Tribal Council, hmm, that 's very interesting. It makes sense, and that is why what we end up seeing is always entertaining. They have more material to choose from to make those 5 or 10 minutes that we see really substantial. It's also interesting to think of the jury getting to see a lot more dialog and form opinions about what is going on if they get a longer time at Tribal Council.
